The biggest improvements that could be made to football (soccer)
Would be having the game reffed like Rugby
1 - Bring back the 10 yard rule which they tried for half a season, and STICK with it... everytime a player disrespects the ref - swears, argues, etc, send them back 10 yards, and if thats in the box, award a penalty. A player shoves the ref or calls him a cheating cunt = instead red.
2 - Yellow card equals half a red AND a 10 min sin bin.
3 - injured players can be treated on the pitch and play carries on unless it is obviously interfering with play (just like in rugby)

This would stop all the collapsing and feigning injury - not in an instant: but I reckon the third or fourth time Ronaldo or Drogba went down like they were shot and everyone played round them they might get the idea: bring some respect for the ref - again with some pain: and encourage attacking play (because defenders wouldnt leap in so willingly and commit fouls if they knew a yellow meant 10 mins sin bin).
Also, the captains should be the only players allowed to talk to the ref about decisions and general situations - unless a player is asking of guidance or is called to the ref: and refs should listen to captains and give them an explanation for decisions made.
