I got a inspiron 9300 and I was using it today and all the sudden the touchpad starts not working right. The mouse moves acrost the screen but then it stops for a second and then goes and then stops and goes. Seems to get stuck.

So i plugged in my usb optical mouse and it works great. So what do you guys think I need to do to fix this?

New touchpad?

something else?

Also I just replaced my bad battery in it with a 9cell battery. What kind of life should a 9 cell dell laptop battery have?
