I dunno, I would take issue with that analysis of the trance scene. It did get way too big and commercial around 1999/2000, but it blew up and the hangover stage was finished around 2004. Maybe it was true somewhere around 5 years ago but the trance scene has moved far beyond van Dyk and Oakenfold. Paul van Dyk has always had the same style, it just got popular, I dont see how thats his fault. I dont particularly like it but you cant accuse him of being a sellout. Oakenfold is a different story, his style changed vastly from goa to commercial dance, but these days he's kind of a joke even in the trance scene. Oakenfold sets from the mid 90s are still revered but he's irrelevant in the 2000s, he's back to playing small clubs.
Might post reviews of the tracks when I get a chance.

It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." --Abraham Lincoln
