I'm a mediocre bass player to begin with. The concept, however, really intrigues me. One of the worst parts about electronic music is that it's just a bunch of guys turning knobs, no matter how incredible the tunes they crank out. Using more visibly traditionally played instruments as midi controllers intrigued me, so I hooked it up to my computer, wrote some (basic, rather buggy) software to let the autotuner act as a basic midi controller, and occasionally pull it out and fire it up through Reason.
I can't do a ton with it, since I'm not really an electronic musician. However, playing the bassline from Dazed and Confused in a multitude of different sound samples always amazes folks who didn't think you could do it.
