Damn, that would definitely get my attention. I have to admit I'm not very knowledgeable about clutches and flywheels, but that looks like a cast iron piece. Aren't most high performance flywheels steel? I would think that would be the best way to prevent something like that from happening. And a scattershield is definitely a must have on a car like that.
