CD/DVD
DISC TOOLS
- Burrrn (*****) - "Burrrn is a little tool for creating audio CDs with CD-Text from various audio files. Supported formats are: wav, mp3, mpc, ogg, aac, mp4, ape, flac, ofr, wv, tta, m3u, pls and fpl playlists and cue sheets. You can also burn EAC’s noncompliant image + cue sheets!" Only thing I use to burrrn audio CDs (hardy har har).
- DAEMON Tools (*) - "DAEMON Tools is a virtual cd/dvd-rom emulator and is able to emulate nearly all known copy protections on the market today. The application mounts ISO images to a virtual drive without having to burn them to a CD." I use this often to mount WAVs and CUE sheets to test different audio rippers for the boss, has many applications.
- DVDisaster (**) - "dvdisaster stores data on CD/DVD in a way that it is fully recoverable even after some read errors have developed." Really great since I am an audio buff and want to preserve my lossless CD rips for a long time.
- ImgBurn (*****) - "ImgBurn can write most types of CD / DVD images and it supports all the latest writers (including booktype / bitsetting on many of the major ones - i.e. BenQ, LiteOn, NEC, Plextor, Sony). You can even use ImgBurn to erase / format your rewritable media!" "ImgBurn is a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that everyone should have in their toolkit!" I use this program all the time, it is great for ISO images, DVD video, or just plain data to DVD jobs. Supports a test feature which ensures the data you burned is bit identical to what is on your hard drive. Am I paranoid? Do I get the job done right on the first try? Yes and Yes.
HURRAY!
Thank you super-user Sty with Jeff-Bridges-in-Tron-like powers.
