Time constraints as much as anything - I work out 4 or 5 days a week running and lifting year round, and play soccer and baseball in the spring/summer and when it comes down to it, those activities are a lot more cost effective than hockey, which has gotten as stupidly expensive as golf.

And, to be fair, I haven't skated in 20 years or more, so, I'd probably suck.
