i basically stopped playing pick up games because there always seems to be one guy that acts like a idiot. I remember playing in a sunday night game as a fill in for a friend who called me and need another player, church league too!
anyway this one guy thought he was playing in an NHL game that actually mattered and not a pick up game with no contact. So i was in corner digging out the puck and he came flying in and smoked me....again no contact league. After he got up, yes his skills were so good that he fell too after the check he gets up and skates away.
well i can't have any of that so i catch up beside him and ask him if this is a contact game as i must be confused. and he calls me a pussy and says "what can't take a hit"....grrrr... I waited for later in the game and just lined him up, you know when you hit someone and it feels so good, like a great golf shot!
He freaked out! "what are you doing arsehole..."...etc i reminded him what he told me, he practically cried he was so upset. I hate that, you can dish it but can't take it..... i've had similar incidents over the years, a slash here, a high stick there...etc like dude, we paid to play not the other way around!
