This is one of those threads where you are never sure where to post it.

In the old days of the Canada board I probably would have posted it there but even that would have left out some people.

I did not want to post it on the Sports board becuase that thread is very much centered aroudn the topic of sports and this is more a general question meant for others in addition to those on the Sports board.

Are you playing hockey this season?

I did not grow up polaying Hockey - something quite out of the ordinary for a Canadian.
I played about a handful of times until CEGEP (school after high school and before university) where I took an intensive Hockey course as a gym class. We played and practiced for 3 hours every Wednesday morning.
Then in University, for 2 out of the 3 years, I played in the C division of the Intramural league.

Since University - about 10 years - I played only a handful of times until the begining of this past summer.
A bunch of friends decided that we were going to get a weekly game together. We don't play in a league but we get enough guys together to have a full game - goalies, refs, and all.

When we started at the begining of the summer there were some of us who had never really played, there were those that had not played in a long time and there were regular players.

Since the summer a lot of us have gratly improved.

I am glad that I am playing Hockey.
