If you're that concerned about it, I recommend consulting a dermatologist.
We took our daughter to a dermatologist after a burn on her arm, to reduce the scar that developed. We ended up getting a prescription for a clear tape to put on her arm daily, that had steroids in it. It worked well. I am sure they have worked with scars on lips, too.
