I had some of that fried bacon in chocolate fondue this New Years Eve. My Lady just told me a few minutes ago that the reason we were having it is because she had read this thread (she also pointed this thread out to me for the first time
- goes to show I better spread my browsing around here at TFP, eh?).
It was very, very tasty. People ranging in age from their 50's to a 6 year old ate the treat, and universally found it a most scrumptious and memorable treat to eat on New Years Eve.
So, you get a positive vote from this corner. I just wouldn't try it very often because it is rather rich, and deserving of a more rarified status than, say, candied peanuts or a hot fudge sundae.
