So I have an AK AIR visa credit card that i only use for miles, but I have the $75 annual fee. I have a big limit on it, and have had it for years.

Now I have seen that AMEX has the blue sky card where I get miles also, and its ALWAYS 2 miles per dollar spent. This is the ONLY reason that I use it for. not for points but for miles. my family loves to travel and they have ak air credit card, but I figured since they all have the same card, if I got something different (AMEX) then we can benefit from amex also.

I am looking for everyones opinions on what is the best credit card for me to use.

What I like to do is pay all my charges on my card, and then at the end of the month I write one big check to pay it off. no balance carry over.

also is there a way to have the credit cards compete?
Like call AMEX and tell them to give me some cool stuff, like: bonus miles, low apr, or free something? Then I will go with them?

I did see the thread about "first credit cards" that didnt really help me much.
