The newbies are still blissfully naive, and some are easily spooked. There is a certain amount of enjoyment to be had by locking some giggly new girl in the morgue cooler. (bonus points if the cooler isn't empty).
I was very fortunate...I was running 911 calls for 9 years, so I had seen more than half the floor nurses I met, and didn't come on the job completely green. I had about 13 years of medical field experience before I became a nurse, so I had a good grip on things. It definitely made school a heck of a lot easier, too!!
