I have answered the door to greet Mormons while wearing a Deicide shirt, it had a picture in case they didn't know what the word meant, or who the band were.
I think it is at least common courtesy to put on a robe when you answer your door, unless you are trying to get a certain point across by being naked (whatever that may be
)
