They aren't going to disappear if you do it correctly, I'm not saying ignore everything except chest for a month. I'm saying most people who are really into bodybuilding, whether for tone or for sheer strength, will never ever let their body plateau because of muscle memory.
What I have done when I was much more into it than I am now. Is for the first full hour, just hammer chest (or legs, or back whatever I was doing this month) the whole time. Then the second hour... a mix of whatever else I felt needed working on.
5 days a week. I'm down to 3 a week now, at this point I'm pretty much as built as I want to be, and I just do it for health/ something to do/ not let myself fade. I still mix it up, or else you just do more work than needed to get the same effect.
