Nobody had holes in their brain. A PET scan was taken with the threshold for displaying blood flow set higher than in a control image taken of another person, and areas of lower blood flow appeared darker because of the difference in the threshold setting. There is absolutely no valid scientific evidence that suggests that MDMA causes "holes in the brain," just like claims of reefer madness and crack babies were invalidated by further research.
