Do you want to be an accountant? Do you want to be a loan officer? If so, then you should focus on schools with these fields that have good placement rates of their grads.

The real question is: what do you actually want to do? As Kryptoni alluded, the degree matters much less than the person who owns it. I know history and English majors making multiples of what your brother makes in insurance and advertising. Unless you need specific training in a certain field, like accounting, then you may be qualified for it now.

I think you need to figure out where it is you want to go before you start plotting out your path.
