I've had Dish for a couple of years now and I couldn't be happier.
I've recently upgraded to the HD package and even with the initial upfront fee for the DVR, it's still cheaper in the long run than the comparable package from the local cable company.
Now, it will go out. Not all the time, but there are occassions where if a particularly nasty storm is heading our way, it will go out, but never for very long. For the most part, it's a champ.
