Ridiculous. Much like every other sport, you not only have to know what you are doing, but you have to be physically capable of doing that. That's why athletes have comparatively short careers (aside from the obvious increased risks of injury and the fat loot the collect from playing a game makes them quit sometimes). A 60 year old man, even one who has been playing ball his whole life, just can't physically keep up with those with perhaps less practice and less know-how or skills.
Hell, even being left or right handed has a huge impact on many sports. The effect on baseball is the biggest I can think of.
