Huh, wow... maybe it's a NYC thing? I had hardly heard about carbon offsets before we left for Iceland... the EasyJet thing was the first time I'd heard about it here, go figure.
But if that's the case for you, then yeah... I'd be pretty annoyed with that behavior as well. The fact that they are purchasing carbon offsets just so they can *participate* in a discussion shows you how worthwhile it is to be talking to them, I suppose (note sarcasm).
Seriously though... wtf?!
