there's a pretty big difference between playing in high school and playing in the big leagues. For starters in high school you don't even come close to playing the amount of games in a season as you would in the majors. The level of talent you see in high school in most cases isn't close to what you find in the major's either.
I played since I was 3 and I never felt it to be mind-numbing to watch or play. To say it takes no skill is pretty bold. How can you say that being that good on a consistent basis takes no skill? Perhaps it was you who had no skill and that's why you never made it past high school.
