I'm about to pick up a Garmin StreetPilot c340. $250 or so. It's got an advantage over the 330 in that the voice directions tell you the street name instead of just "turn left, next street." Helps avoid confusion.
I didn't get sucked in by the Nuvi - - from what i can tell it's essentially the same thing as the c series, only a little thinner. I don't consider that worth $100 to $200 extra.
I looked at Cobra's new line, but wasn't impressed with it's routing abilities and it seemed crash happy. I was seriously considering a widescreen Tomtom, but I've red too many complaints of them breaking and people having a difficult time getting warranty service on them.
Magellan is terrible at routing so they're right out.
