Redlemon, my God thanks a ton! I've been regaling Grancey with marvelous tales of being able to access TiVo through her brand new laptop and then when she finally tried it didn't support Vista. So I was feeling pretty low until you posted the latest link of the new version for Vista. YAY!!
cynthetique, any movie or program recorded off the premium channels (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc.) has a burn protection embedded and we can't transfer them to DVD. Obviously, we're not trying to go into the bootleg business, but there are some amazing movies we've managed to capture onto TiVo that are not available anywhere for purchase and they're starting to eat up all the available space on my TiVo harddrive because we can't burn them. Also, there are a couple of specials on Dick Cavett or Bette Davis or something else I'm forgetting that were recorded off our basic cable and they also seem to be copy-protected.
