To some extent I agree, however a case could be made about Tony George president of IMS) being a dolt and not able to sell any sponsorship to the race. Seriously, the world's most popular racing series not able to make a go of it at one of the world's most historic and renowned race tracks? I can't believe it failed. IMS is terrible at promotion, always have been. And that's what tripped them up on this. Had they been able to build a market with the fans and also with sponsor support (8 years should have been enough time to do that) F1 would still be in Indy. I can't blame BE for taking a better offer.
