i found ubu because of the DJ Food download. the first things i ever looked at were the 365 Day Project (revived this year at the WFMU blog) and some of the outsider found art.
Lucier's "I am Sitting in a Room" is perhaps another obvious one, as it was featured in the DJ Food mp3
i was thinking about the site again because i recently came across an LP of Jacques Lasry - Chronophagie (The Time Eaters) and noticed it was hosted there.
