ah--ubu. my friend runs that site. not only that, but you can hear some of the strangeness that i do there--search for clairaudient.
it's old, but it's there. when the new project happens in the fall, some of it will be there too, methinks. ubu is an amazing site. it's geared around sound poetry--so there's tons of that by folk like henri chopin, japp blonk, bob cobbing--it';s branched out from there in all kinds of directions. check out the 365 day project (which i love) and the films (they are legion)... ubu...what a lovely place.

Why am I not surprised to hear this, rb.
I will go there and look for your music, because I've yet to get the music on the clairaudient site to play for me. Kudos to your friend. It's an awesome site.

i found ubu because of the DJ Food download. the first things i ever looked at were the 365 Day Project (revived this year at the WFMU blog) and some of the outsider found art.
Lucier's "I am Sitting in a Room" is perhaps another obvious one, as it was featured in the DJ Food mp3 i was thinking about the site again because i recently came across an LP of Jacques Lasry - Chronophagie (The Time Eaters) and noticed it was hosted there. |
