Thanks for thinking of us other motorheads. I'm sure I'd love seeing it at Indy one of these days but no way I can make it this time.
This also reminds me of how disappointed I was when they stopped running F1 at Watkins Glen. I understand some of the safety concerns and economics, but I went to the Glen for F1 from the late '60's to the end in 1980 and always immensely enjoyed the weekends there, including camping at the track, stumbling toward ecstasy in the bog. To me, the hilly terrain of a track like the Glen is much more interesting than the basically flat layout at Indy ...though I drive the roadcourse setups at Pocono which are also flat, and while they are still great fun, driving (and watching) at the Glen is IMO an order of magnitude better.
