I have a penis piercing myself, I've got a frenum piercing.
Now, the best advise I can give you is make sure you get a Titanium ring, seriously, DO NOT use gold. Gold actually dissolves quite easily. Be careful about the kind of metal you choose and make sure you're not allergic to it. As I said, titanium all the way, it's expensive, but doesn't seem to have the same problems as other metals.
When you first get the piercing, don't be surprised if you feel sick for a day or so. You're body might try to reject it, and your immune system will chuck a bit of a tantrum as a result.
Clean it twice a day for the first couple of months, and I hate to break it you buddy, but you're going to have to give away wanking for a month or so and sex for even longer. And I'm not shitting around about sex, take that seriously, if vaginal fluids get into the piercing before it has healed properly you WILL get an infection.
