Seeing as I work on a ship for months at a time away from home...yeah, sure I've done it now and again; also slept, ate, and watched tv. But all in the privacy of mine own cabin. And while I've occasionally gotten a woody leaning up against the radar (hey, it's a big gently vibrating console), I've never (ever) gotten tempted to whip it out while navigating.
