My neighbors a few doors down, youngish guy in his late 20's and his wife, they've owned their RX-8 for about two years now, they love it. They keep saying they'll bring it to one of the track days I go to, but so far no go.
I think the Eclipse is nice too, though based on what I hear and read it's not nearly as much of a sports car feel as the RX-8. But it is a nice sporty car nonetheless. I bought a new Eclipse back in 1990, a GS-T and with that turbo that thing was quite peppy and handled surprisingly well; traded it in with almost 160k relatively trouble free miles when I got my '95 Supra. I don't really know much about the new Eclipse.
