Remember that this is an act. You can be a nice guy. Putting up this front will force the manager to make concessions.

If you want to find out the "best deal" on a car then this is the best way to get it done. Just walking into a dealership and saying "What's your best price on car 'X'?" -will not get you anywhere.

Acting a little paranoid and crazy works like a charm.

One more thing. This is an important thing. Bring a pen and a little pocket notebook.

When they start the ping pong with the worksheet -WRITE DOWN THE PRICES.

Make sure you are only paying the lowest price quoted. Also if you want to avoid confusion make sure you are NOT negotiating on both "Monthly Payments" and "Price". The best tactic is to negotiate the price AND THEN figure out the financing.
