Sometimes the extended warranty's you can buy for new cars actually do serve a purpose. Make sure that the one they sell you is good everywhere and not just at there shop.

If you are buying a new car don't pay over invoice for it. Ask the dealer to show you the invoice to be sure they are giving you that price. However, if you are going to beat them up over the price (and you should) you probably can't expect any free accessories. Remember, at invoice price they may only be making 300 or 400 dollars from which the salesman commission has to be deducted. So what seems like something small for 80 bucks may indeed be asking too much. Its worth a try though.

And, above all, if the sales consultant puts an undue amount of pressure on you walk out. Asking for your name and phone number is completely acceptable but don't let them give you any cheesy lines.

Personal opinion: go with the Civic
