Any one have any recommendations for good cheap airlines.

Planning to go backpacking in Europe around September 2008 for 5/6 weeks and im trying to calculate my budget.

So i started looking at prices for the same months in 2007, but cant see to get anything reliable

travelocity and expedia haven't been much help.

im leaving from Vancouver Canada or Seattle, hoping to start out in paris or Madrid.

the closest thing i found was zoom airlineshttp://flyzoom.com

any one got any recommendations?
any price range that you think should be reachable?
