I see two very valid points here.
Yes, parents suck. And I mean a lot of 'em. I've witnessed it first hand when my daughter was in high school. What a bunch of dregs.
On the other hand, the school beauraracy was much as NG pointed out...all about the Benjamins.
It's a pathetic situation.
