I just got back from this movie. Holy crap. Movies of this quality make you wonder how directors can even think about releasing shit like Norbit. The cinematography in this movie is outstanding. It really makes you believe that what's going on is real and not just a movie.

I think one of the overlooked but most profound aspects of this movie is how the future is portrayed. Did you see any laser rifles? No. Flying cars? No. Robots? No. The major futuristic aspects of this movie come from the LCDs all over the place, which make sense due to the recent explosion of LCD technology in our time. This is a realistic take on 20 years from now and I love it.

BTW I went into this movie knowing one thing about it: women are infertile. It really helps if you watch it not knowing much about it. The scene in the cow barn with Kee and Theo was probably the best in the entire movie.

I officially love Alfonso Cuaron and Clive Owen after watching Children of Men. Outstanding soundtrack as well.
