another thing - if you have the original documentation to the router or can find it online - they frequently have a hard reset button. you might try springing that as well, and then starting from scratch. the online docs should have the definite configuration ip page on it. on my netgear, you can either put in a hard ip, or a page name (ie. http://www.router.basicsettings.html or something to that effect). do you get anything in your internet connections at all?
