Shaved is a nice bonus for ball-licking/sucking, but it's not a requirement by any means. I usually don't even notice how much hair he has. Now, if I was going to be doing any rimming, I might be more inclined if the ass was bare and not hairy... but we don't do that very often anyway.
Personally, I've never waxed and only shaved a couple of times (very itchy and annoying when I did), but I do keep it trim most of the time. I like seeing and feeling hair on both him and myself... but if he wanted me to wax, of course he'd have to do it along with me. That's just the way things work with me... no double standards.
Now, regular showering and washing up down there is something I do prefer, but that's a given for most people (I would assume). The sweat and smell of unwashed penis or pussy isn't high on most people's lists, I think...
