Its a good point about a small engine and awd.
I've owned a few awd jeep cherokee's with both inline and v6s and they did fine.
When you look at the specs for later model v6s in awd suvs youre talking about 210-250hp and low to mid 200s in ft lb of torque, which are the same specs as v8s from the 70s and 80s.
They sound like crap and are slow as hell but they seem to work ok, at least on the street.
