DK - I'm not really a hockey fan, but I've been paying attention to this for a while. The Penguins have been trying to sell for a couple of years now, and they've been to the alter twice only to get stood up twice. There's real talk of moving the franchise because it's just not successful in Pittsburgh anymore. Attendance is down and salaries are up. Remember that the Penguins aren't the Steelers or even the Pirates, so they aren't doing as well as the other two franchises in town (that also have money and attendance problems, btw).
Also, did you read the last line of the article that you posted that said that the land has already been acquired? There's no mention of disgruntled homeowners in the article, so your comment is pure speculation I think.
I expect that this thread will be closed shortly for lack of any discussion in the OP.
