I sometimes use
anonymouse to thwart ip checkers. I've never had any problems with them or they're service. there is no sign up required or any personal info ever given to them. I opened the abc viewer with it to check and it seemed to load the front page ok although it was horribly slow. I don't know if there are faster servers available.
I should think though that they should all be safe as long as they don't require allot of personal info from you to use the service.
