The article linked in the OP (and most others I've read recently) states that GW is intent on sending more troops to Iraq, despite most advisors - and most of the country - telling him this would not be a great idea. And, truthfully, what would throwing more troops at Iraq possibly accomplish, other than adding to the mess?
You don't hire people for a job before you have a job for them to do.
As for Bush spinning his own reality, yes, he's been doing that for some time, hasn't he? What's alarming is how succesfull he's been at selling it to the rest of the country.
And Will, a democrat in the white house is just about the most empty hope for improvement that I can imagine. Since when is a democrat a cure all?
