It's bad enough that when I watch the games on tv that each period is brought to me by {insert company.} What's next? "This goal is brought to you by..." "This 3-2 pitch is brought to you by..." What the hell does "brought to you by" even mean? Just tell me that "{This company} has paid us money to tell you about them."
At the time of this post the Leafs have taken 4 penalties so I've heard this "brought to you by" crap 4 times. It's ridiculous. Not everything needs to have a corporate sponsor.
Does this bother anyone else when they're watching/listening to sports or is it just me?

I have my Sharks season tickets listed on Stub Hub, so I'm probably partially to blame for this. The fact of the matter is that sports sold out decades ago. If you want to enjoy your Leafs game, jus try to ignore it. If this was something new, I'd be right there next to you saying it's ridiculous (actually it kinda is), but the fact is that this has been going on since before I was born. It's been going on since the outside of sports firled were coveed by adds. That's where most of the income allocated for national broadcast comes from. I like being able to watch a Sharks game on TV if I'm on vacation in North Carolina or Arizona, and if I have to watch a Norelco add right before a face off, so be it. If "that check was brought to you by Honda: test drive to new Fit today!", as long as it doesn't hurt the game itself, I figure it's no more than a nusence.
