Are you going to look for work right away?
No. I'm still travelling (over 1 year so far). Currently in Argentina and will stay until March or April when the weather improves in Canada. I want to travel through Argentina until then. When I go back to Canada, I'll likely re-train for a new type of work. Like space travel.
Do you need to find any job you can to pay the bills?
No. I have family and money to survive for the near future. I've never been in debt. My cost of living here is very affordable. 3 pesos to the Dollar.
Would you apply for jobs in a different city than the one you live in now?
Yes. I'd even apply in different countries. I think the real question is if you'd move there and leave the life you had, behind.
Do you think you would ever want to start your own business?
No. At least not right now.
Would you want to take 3, 6, 12 months off to travel the world?
Yes, I'm taking more than that off now. I quit my job long before I went travelling. I was in a unique position and could afford to do it, financially at least. The rest of my future is even more uncertain.
Would you just take a few months off to unwind?
Yes. It's a good way to clear your mind. It took about 6 months before I didn't think about my work or past troubles at least once a day.
Would you stay home and watch your kid(s) instead of sending them to day care?
I don't have kids but I'll look after some if you give me money. Travelling isn't cheap.
Do you have enough saved up to retire?
Hmmm... maybe, but that might mean living in a box. I'll start work again and avoid that route if possible. I also invested well when I was young, which I'm thankful for now.
Have you ever thought about it or have some other idea planned?
Yes. I'd like to be nicer to people. The more you give, the more you get, in the end.
