Absolutely. I'm usually able to get a head start on looking if I know I'm going to be leaveing (or fired, though that's not happened before). The idea is to give myself 2 months to develop a good resume and get it out there. I'd like to have already been hired elsewhere before I quit.

Yes. Life is expensive. Then you get Loves.

I'd try to stay in the area. I'm not willing to go more than a few towns away as I won't be moving any time soon.

Only if I can have cool employees and an office that looks as if it could be in a movie about the future. I love that kind of stuff. Oh, and all Macs. And a typewriter under glass, to represent where we came from (or something cheezy like that to make fun of). And a vending machine that has organic fruits!

I'm not interested in taking a 2-3 year old girl around the world, and I won't leave my daughter, so no. I've already traveled a bit, and I plan to travel a few decades from now.

Maybe a week, to spend time with the family.

ABSOLUTELY. That's the main reason to stay home, but it would hit us hard financially, so I wouldn't be able to do it long.

I'm 23, so no. I figure it'll take 18 more years at my current salary, allowing for inflation, to have a healthy retirement. I'll work longer than that, but it's good to know I'll be secure sooner.

When I'm 55-65, I'll retire. Until then, I'll work.
