i dunno, maybe i'm a little older that charlatan and hunnychile, but i was a big gensis head in high school, up through the lamb lies down on broadway (so through the peter gabriel period) and i really like collin's drumming and his singing when he was in a more limited role as singer. i liked each post-gabriel album less than the one before it, until i just gave up on genesis altogether--i think they lost both a great singer and a great drummer when phil shifted into being primarily the vocalist. as for his solo stuff, as a singer and arranger he is a great drummer.
