Allowing someone to blatantly shovel ignorance to students....students! should not be tolerated.
Get together some evidence and go to his department head. If the department head doesn't want to listen then go see his boss.
Normally I would say just suck it up because you know better, but you're in college. You're paying him money to teach you, the correct information, not some shit he made up before class as filler or worse yet, actually believes. He's a professor. period. He's teaches college students. period. He should know better. period.
