I have found in general, Online interaction can be very helpful in getting to understand how another thinks...which can certainly lead to development of real life meetings (Ask Amonkie...heh). The Key is to use the Internet as the tool it can be, and pay close attention to the larger picture it paints as the Chats become more involved.
