I occasionally listen to British web radio. Back in 2003, when Absolution first came out, they were huge on British radio but getting relatively little attention in the United States. Warner Music hadn't even decided whether or not to release the album in the U.S. (they didn't release Origin of Symmetry here until after Absolution proved to be popular), and so, when it did come out, it was nearly impossible to find. I managed to pick up a copy at an awesome store on the Ave in Seattle early spring 2004. Sometime that summer, my best friend comes to me and says, holy shit, you've got to hear this new band called Muse.
I pulled the CD off my shelf and tossed it at him. It's the ONLY time I've ever been ahead of the game with music where he is concerned, haha, but now we're equally obsessed.
