Actually caught it with my father a couple of weeks ago; spectacular. I was really impressed with Steve Carrell; his depth as an actor is almost over whelming at first. Especially for someone who watched him do his first nationally aired poop joke on The Daily Show.
Agree with the comment about the comparison to Garden State. Quirky, and absurd but the actors pull it off.
The grandfather and Son were my favorites.
