I will volunteer to be the official "old guy" of this thread. I love most types of music, but always seem to come back to classic rock. I graduated from HS in '77.
I sort of qualify as one of those fanatical fans of Springsteen. In September 2000, my 16 year old son and I travelled to Fargo for a Springsteen concert. I figured that we had a better chance of getting close to the stage there than in St Paul, Milwaukee, or Chicago. It was my son's first concert ever, but he was not really into music like I was at his age. We managed to get into the general admission area closest to the stage, and for most of the concert we were right up front and center. My son got caught in with a group of Canadian kids who were jumping around, really into it, and he had a ball. Unbelievable concert, and my kid seemed to develop an appreciation for the genre as well. It was my best concert experience ever.
